Tomer Anbar, Ph.D. CGP, CTC, is Clinical Director of ROC Behavioral Medicine and Interdisciplinary Pain Rehabilitation, Chairman of the Pain Rehab SIG of the American Pain Society, and Founder and first Director of the Scripps Chronic Pain Rehabilitation Program. He is former Director of the Unit of Clinical and Research Psychobiology at the National Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery research component of the World Health Organization in Mexico City, and former President of the San Diego Group Psychotherapy Society. Dr. Anbar developed the Imperial County Suicide Intervention and Prevention Network for the California Department of Mental Health. His work has been extensively covered by the media and featured on NBC, PBS, WGN and American Medical News. He is a member of the International Association for the Study of Pain among other organizations.
